Although this is the author's first commercially published book, she has several hard-to-find self-published booklets and videos to her credit and is known in the field for her inventive approach to knitting. While paging through a book of Latvian weaving patterns some years ago, Williams, a nonweaver, was intrigued by the possibilities of using weaving drafts for color pattern knitting. This book offers a combination of beautiful and intricate garment designs, a substantial section on techniques that you won't find elsewhere, and a collection of Latvian weaving patterns in charted form.
