Having been caught by his wife kissing another woman, a man lies that he is an FBI agent and the kiss was part of his cover-up operation; trying to save his best friend's marriage, a man makes a pass at his mistress to prove her infidelity, but it turns out he has the wrong woman; after his partner is killed and his supervisors object to his going against the mob, a NYPD detective takes justice into his own hands; a cabaret singer romances a wealthy socialite into financing his own nightclub but then falls for a voluptuous chorus girl.
