Summary:	True story of Lalu Nathoy, a young Chinese woman sold to bandits for two sacks of seed. She works hard and is eventually able to buy her freedom after meeting Charlie Bemis. Charlie changes her life for the better and together they help settle the Idaho Territory along the Salmon River.
