Summary:	The Korean Motion Picture Promotion Corporation embraced the concept of a filmed record of the Games of the XXIV Olympia and ultimately came up with four documentaries, three of which are included in 100 Years of Olympic Films. Lee Kwang-soo's Seoul 1988 is the most comprehensive, celebrating a sporting occasion "free from boycotts or terrorism." Lee dwells on the people from all walks of life who come to the Games and devotes much footage to sports dear to Koreans but regarded as minor in international terms: archery, table tennis (appearing as an official discipline for the first time at the Olympic Games), and shooting.
