"This boxed set starts with his debut recordings as a guitarist and occasional singer for the Blue Ridge Playboys in 1936, and includes all the recordings from his five-year stint with Decca (1939-1944) and nine classic years with Columbia (1946-1955). It also includes a handful of small label sides from 1955-1957, his RCA Victor LP from 1958, two sessions for Liberty Records in 1960 and 1961 and his 1962 Cimarron recordings as well as the highly acclaimed 1981 Gilleys LP"--Container.
