Examines the devastating, untold story of BP's Corexit cover-up following the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The spill is well-known as one of the largest environmental disasters in U.S. history. But what is not well-known is that BP, with U.S. government approval, attempted to sink the oil rather than clean it up, using the controversial dispersant Corexit--and then covered up the practice. Some estimates are that 75 percent of the oil, 150 million gallons, is still unaccounted for. The film questions whether public safety and environmental health took a backseat to restoring the tourist-based economy, and exposes the symbiosis between big oil and the U.S. government.
