In spite of an alliance with the fiendish Nosferatu Zodd, Guts, the Black Swordsman, and his companions see no chance of defeating the Kushan emperor in his astral form and must reach the safety of Elfheim before the emperor and Griffith, Guts' former commander-turned-demon lord, turn their attentions back to the motley crew.
