Kevin Mackinnon was a national champion runner while attending university, and after graduating, spent nine years competing as a professional triathlete. Since the birth of his daughter, he has been making a living as a coach and freelance journalist. He writes a parenting column for City Parent magazine, and has been a regular contributor to CBC radio and Ironmanlive.com. Keving is the father of three very active children. His daughter, 10, and son, 7, are provincial champion runners. Even his 5 year old son regularly competes in track and field and triathlon competitions. Over the past five years, Kevin has developed a running club at his children's school that has grown to include almost 100 children. While the club gears the children toward a few competitions, the main emphasis is on participation and fun!
