This catalog documents a new special-purpose museum in Washington, D.C., conceived by Wilhelmina Holladay and her husband Wallace. The museum is largely made up of a collection of works by women from the 16th century to the present. After an introduction by noted scholar Comini, the bulk of the volume consists of illustrated works with accompanying page-long commentaries.
