Ken Tyler is a man obsessed with making prints. His obsession and energy have been a major force in the American print renaissance, and in the technology of printmaking, since the early 1960s. Tyler studied at Tamarind, then went on to found Gemini and to co-found Gemini G.E.L. and, later, Tyler Graphics (all major print workshops). Gilmour surveys the highlights of Tyler's impressive career. She skillfully describes his technical innovations, and their value, as used in his artistic collaboration with Albers, Johns, Hockney, Frankenthaler, Stella, and others. -- amazon.com
