Summary:

After the death of his younger brother, a troubled 19-year-old street dancer is able to bypass juvenile hall by enrolling in a historically black university in Georgia. His efforts to get an education and woo the girl he likes are sidelined when he discovers 'stepping, ' a traditional dance performed by African-American fraternities. He soon finds himself in the middle of a fierce rivalry between the top two campus fraternities.
